Conferences and Events

Bringing Community Together

At HOPE events, something profound and beautiful happens. Students gain guidance to pursue meaningful careers, professionals exchange strategies for amplifying community voices, and leaders mobilize their communities to advocate for equitable policies.

In these spaces, we strengthen community ties and see firsthand the impact of working together to build stronger systems that serve everyone.

Latina History Day® Los Angeles

Held annually in March during Women’s History Month, this event honors and celebrates the historic and current achievements of Latinas, while uplifting the breadth and richness of the Latina experience. From high school students to professionals, all are welcome to take part in dynamic forums and workshops on career advancement, current community issues, and financial empowerment.  Be inspired by keynote speakers and connect with fellow leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers through our Comadre Network.

Latina Action Day® Sacramento

Since 1994, the statewide Latina Action Day conference has elevated the voices and lived experiences of Latinas at policymaking tables. Each year, hundreds of leaders from every region of California gather in Sacramento to engage directly with elected officials, share their perspectives, and shape conversations on policies that impact our communities. Through dynamic town halls, public hearings, and workshops, HOPE creates meaningful opportunities for participants to strengthen their networks, build social capital, and connect across diverse communities. Together, we honor the trailblazing leadership of Latinas while advancing civic engagement and strengthening our democracy for the benefit of all Californians.

Anniversary Awards Dinner

The Anniversary Awards Dinner is HOPE’s annual gala recognizing the commitment of our community partners and supporters who help build a legacy of leadership and service. During the event, HOPE honors outstanding leaders and presents the prestigious Spirit of HOPE award in recognition of exceptional impact and dedication. Proceeds from this event sustain HOPE’s leadership programs, public policy work, and research initiatives that expand opportunity and strengthen communities across the United States.

Young Professionals Summit

This conference supports the professional development of emerging leaders ages 18-26 and serves as the signature event of the HOPE College Leadership Program. Through interactive and topical workshops, participants early in their careers gain the guidance, tools, and connections needed to excel in their chosen paths.  Past sessions have explored budgeting and saving, navigating higher education, and building fulfilling careers that align with individual goals and lifestyles.
