Angeren Pineda is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at California State University, Los Angeles. She is known for her curiosity, strong work ethic, and passion for learning through hands-on clinical experiences. Angeren values teamwork, growth, and creating meaningful connections with patients and peers. She hopes to continue developing as a compassionate and knowledgeable nurse while using her voice, leadership, and dedication to make a positive impact in healthcare and her community.

Majoring in Political Science – Public Policy, Chicanx/Latinx Studies

Anneli Hernandez-Abrego is a third-year student at the University of California, San Diego, studying both Political Science and Chicanx/Latinx Studies. She has dedicated her time in undergrad to connecting with students and the Latinx community at UCSD. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and the daughter of immigrants, she is passionate about empowering her community and strives to be an attorney who protects the Latinx community that shaped her into who she is today.

Majoring in Education and Social Transformation & English

Jocelyn Torres is a fourth-year student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is double-majoring in Education and Social Transformation and English. She was born and raised in California’s Central Valley, Porterville, where her upbringing and community shaped her values and her aspirations. She plans to pursue graduate school and become a professora of Education, focusing her research on rural education while mentoring and supporting the next generation of Latinx scholars in higher education.

Majoring in Political Science, Labor Studies, Chicana and Chicano Studies

Karla Vasquez Perez is 1st generation immigrant born and raised in El Salvador and migrated to the United States at the age of 15 to reunite with her single mother. She is a senior at UCLA, triple-majoring and double-minoring, dedicating her education to becoming a policy maker. Grounded in social justice, peace-building, and radical love, Karla advocates for equity in community and data-driven efforts. She is dedicating her life to public service, rooted in dignity and care for all.
