The HOPE College Leadership Program (HCLP)

The HOPE College Leadership Program (HCLP) is designed to engage Latina college students and recent grads (ages 18-24) to support them in developing their leadership, advocacy, and professional skills through training and access to a professional network. HCLP informational webinar

Track I ( lEADERSHIP program)

A six-month hybrid leadership development program that fosters a network of support for College Latinas to ensure they have the resources necessary to complete college, enter the workforce and contribute to their communities.




  • Civics Project that addresses current issues impacting young Latinas

  • Online Speaker Series to engage participants with experts/trainers on hot topics and skills development

  • Online platforms that serve as resources for job, internship and scholarship searches

  • Young Professionals Summit: a professional development conference for college students

  • HOPE's Conferences: Latina History Day and Latina Action Day

  • Quarterly check-ins during and after completing the program to support with degree completion

  • Program culmination reception in which participants receive a certificate of completion



  • Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate college student, graduate student, or recent graduate (2-3 years post grad)

  • Must be committed to community engagement and Latina issues

  • Must submit a complete application packet for consideration

  • Must be willing to volunteer or intern with HOPE

  • Participants must create a google plus account for program communication





There is no program fee. Participants are expected to pay conference registration fee ($30 per conference) & transportation costs. Proof of enrollment required. Limited registration & transportation scholarships may be available.




To further support the educational attainment of Latinas, HOPE will offer participants that meet all program requirements the opportunity to apply for a $1,000 scholarship.

TRACK II (Conference track)

A more condensed program where participants attend HOPE's three main annual conferences. The conferences provide participants with opportunities for professional development, career exploration and networking with  HOPE's extensive network of Latina professionals.




  • Participation in HOPE's Latina History Day

  • Participation in HOPE's Latina Action Day

  • Young Professionals Summit a professional development conference for college students

  • Access to HOPE resources through monthly newsletters and Latina Briefs



Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate college student.





There is no program fee. Participants are expected to pay conference registration fees & transportation costs. College students conference registration fee is $30. Proof of enrollment required.​



More About HCLP

The goal of the HOPE College Leadership Program is to increase college retention and graduation rates among Latinas.


HCLP does this by:


  • Increasing participants' awareness and knowledge of democratic political processes in order to increase civic participation.

  • Exposing and increasing college Latinas' access to professionals and opportunities in STEM fields.

  • Imparting vital leadership skills that will allow college Latinas to become change agents in their communities.

  • Enhancing the professional and personal development of college Latinas who will play increasingly important roles in their respective work sectors.

  • Supporting and engaging Latinas to ensure successful degree attainment and workforce integration.​
