2010 HOPE Budget Analysis                         

The State of California’s budget crisis has lead to the proposal and/or passage of various forms of legislation aimed at cutting programs or funding to programs that are vital to the success and quality of life of numerous Latinas in the State. HOPE recognizes the impact and damage that hasty decisions can make on the progress Latinas have made over the past few decades in the areas of health, economics, and education. It is a priority of the organization to take a closer look at the annual state budget and review upcoming bills through the “Latina Lens.”
