The HOPE Leadership Institute has changed my life. It has given me a new way to look at the world, but more importantly, it has given me the opportunity to connect with other women where, together, we can impact the world. In a personal way, I have realized that the strength of HLI depends on what I make of it. HLI is more than just a program, it’s a living institute committed to improving equality one woman at a time.

In fewer than twenty years, more than one out of every two people in California will be Latino. As Latinos become the majority of California’s people, it is critical that we prepare leaders who can not only lead our state, but reflect the populace they serve. I salute the work of the HOPE Leadership Instiute in providing just the sort of leadership training, encouragement and support that is required for today and the future.
