The Youth Leadership through Literacy Program (YLTLP) is a statewide development program designed to prepare low-income, high school age Latinas for a self-sufficient future that will allow for economic and political parity through a good college education. The objectives of the YLTLP include college preparation, financial empowerment, enhanced civic participation and the promotion of healthy living.

HOPE's YLTLP will reach about 300 high school aged Latinas annually.  Thirty-two of these students will participate in an intensive program over a 6-month period (Track 1), while the rest (Track 2) will convene during HOPE's two largest conferences, HOPE Latina History Day and Latina Action Day, Sacramento.
